Cyfac on the cover of BICYCLING Magazine

The upcoming October 2010 issue of BICYCLING Magazine features the Cyfac Gothica CS on its cover. Inside, a 2-page review highlights the build quality, design, production, and finish aspects that set the Gothica CS apart from the crowd. Entitled "French Flyer", the review lends high praise. Bicycling Magazine is the world's largest cycling publication. A cover shot is fantastique!

"If the Gothica CS were a car, it would be a Grand Touring edition -- luxe, gorgeous, and entirely capable of leaving some rubber on the road." Joe Lindsey, Bicycling.

Cyfac dealer, Studio Velo, of Mill Valley, California hosted an exciting month of riding at a Spanish villa near the French border. Not only were the Studio Velo customers treated to some fantastic food, great accommodations, and amazing riding, they also enjoyed the exclusive use of a fleet of Cyfac demo bikes. Comprised of Absolu, Gothica CS, and Cadence models, the Cyfac fleet gives customers a chance to enjoy the Cyfac ride quality, finish beauty, and allure for themselves.

Studio Velo's customer (and new Cyfac owner), Chas, took delivery of his very own Cyfac at the Spanish event. Ordered earlier in the spring, Chas' new Gothica CS was built at our Loire Valley workshop and sent across the border for him to enjoy in the Spanish hills. Read his report here! Bonne route, Chas!

Nerv DS2 Testimonial

Robert B. New Hampshire, Commenting on his Cyfac Nerv DS2.

I am really enjoying the bike. It has inspired me to ride more often, longer etc. It gets great looks from other riders and is quick and responsive. I get out of the saddle more then I did in prior riding seasons. I not sure if that's good or not, but its fun getting a quick jump.
It has a smooth and firm ride too and I like it better than past steel frame and as well as my ti bike. You feel the road but in a good way; it doesn't beat you up.

Balance is unbelievable. It has been long time since I felt comfortable to lift my hands off the bars and take the water bottle out of the cage while pedaling.

It has been a pleasure working with your company.

Simply amazing!”
CYFAC® acquires CATIA PLM Express to Reinforce High-end Status

Hommes, France June 1st, 2010

Cyfac® International, builder of custom bicycle frames for more than 25 years, proudly announces the signing of an ambitious contract with Keonys®, Europe’s number one reseller of Dassault Systèmes Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) products, most notably the CATIA PLM Express solution.

«Using CATIA PLM Express to model future projects will not only enable us to completely optimize the technical and mechanical characteristics of our new frames right from the very first digital drafts, but will also allow us to anticipate all requirements from the production side in keeping with our unique manufacturing methods. We will be able to build a truly collaborative engineering process with our different partners, whether they are machinists, composite tube manufacturers, or graphic designers » states Aymeric Le Brun, managing director of Cyfac International.

« We are entering a new phase in the production of custom high-performance frames that will satisfy our clients’ needs and desires whether they are professional partners or individual riders. Additionally, the intégration of Fabien Deweerdt, an Arts & Métiers engineer, to the Cyfac International team enables our brand to continue the in-house development of high-tech frames using the latest technologies and via a configuration that is adapted to our special manufacturing requirements. I’d really like to thank Keonys for their partnership in laying the groundwork for this project », continues Mr. Le Brun.

« Cyfac once again shifts gear. CATIA PLM Express is specifically designed for small and mid-sized companies : affordable, easy-to-use, and flexible this solution allows our clients to accelerate the development and completion of their projects and their products, to reduce deployment delays, and to improve their return on investment. » adds Bruno Puechoultres, Vice President of Keonys.

The first fruits of this acquisition will reach the market starting in 2011. Cyfac bicycles and anthropometric tools for the Cyfac Postural System® developed via these solutions, will feature the Keonys and Dassault Systèmes logos.

The inimitable pezcyclingnews.com, presents a detailed and in-depth look at Cyfac, the making of our frames, and the experience from getting a CPS fit to color selection. A finely custom-crafted Absolu awaits!

"Possibly the best description I have after meeting the folks at Cyfac is "calm". Rather than the go go marketing , heavy hype and pressure for growth and the suggestion of the next big thing, Cyfac seem to be far more concerned with long term satisfaction for both their customers and the people that make up the company."

Belgian rider, Stéphane Vanden Bergh, recently received his new custom ABSOLU frameset from Cyfac.

"The comfort, handling, and reactivity are hallucinatory. At first you think there's a little motor added into the intergrated seat post. This bike just makes your legs turn. Nothing gets lost, everything is in control, and I savor it all. No climb scares me because when the road goes up, this bike does too...It's really magic."

We take special pride in keeping all design, production, and finish work in-house. While much of what happens to construct a frame is hidden under the finished product, it is that finished product that truly showcases all of the time, attention-to-detail, and quality craftsmanship that Cyfac offers. This quick youtube video of Cyfac painting provides a nice look at all that happens to make a beautiful finished Cyfac frame.

All Cyfac frames are hand-built in our La Fuye, France workshop. The time, effort, and attention-to-detail distinguishes our framesets.

Know who's building your frame. Know their skill, training, dedication, and passion. Each Cyfac frame embodies this and we encourage you to ride the difference. Our Fixie frame provided a blank canvas upon which our entire artisan team marked their autograph.

At Cyfac, we focus on the ride.

"Eric Sakalowsky from VeloEuropa Imports was also proud to point out the eco-friendly paint process. All bikes are finished with water based paints that allow for a smoother finish, use less material, are safer for the painter and can be cleaned up easier. The bikes are truly beautiful, so it must work!"
